About me

ISFP Pisces Enneagram 4

I'm a product designer at UC Davis, born in the Philippines and raised in the Bay Area. I care about interfaces that feel clear and intentional — and when I'm not in Figma, I'm usually on the basketball court or chasing a good playlist.

My approach

I combine UX thinking with product strategy to design scalable solutions that solve real user needs, align with business goals, and are built to last (not just sit in Figma). No fluff. No over-design. Just thoughtful, tested solutions that work.

Good design builds trust.

Strategic design beats over-design.

Done > perfect

Don't design in a vacuum.

My design process

Understand and align

I start by clarifying what matters most: the user problem, the business goal, and the constraints around the work. That means asking sharper questions, finding the gaps in the brief, and turning scattered inputs into a direction the team can actually move on.

Design and collaborate

I move from strategy into systems, flows, and prototypes with intention. Every screen is grounded in the bigger product context, and I make sure decisions stay clear for teammates through organized files, practical annotations, and collaboration that keeps momentum high.

Test and adapt

I do not stop at handoff. I look for signals in feedback, testing, and performance so the work can keep improving after launch. The goal is not just shipping something polished, but learning quickly enough to make the next round even stronger.

FAQs

How do you balance user experience with business goals?

I start by finding where user needs and business goals actually overlap, then design for that. Good UX and good outcomes usually point in the same direction — when something is clear and easy to use, people stick with it. I keep both in view from research through handoff so decisions support real users without losing sight of what the product needs to do.

What does your design process actually look like?

It usually moves through three phases: understanding and aligning on the problem, designing flows and systems with intention, then testing and adapting based on feedback. I try to ask sharper questions early so the rest of the work has a strong foundation, and I keep files organized and decisions clear so teammates can move quickly.

What tools and platforms do you work in?

Figma is my main design and prototyping tool, and I'm comfortable in the Adobe suite — Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign — for visual and print-style work. I care less about the tool and more about using the right one to communicate an idea clearly.

Can you work on projects beyond UI/UX product design?

Yes. My background spans visual storytelling, typography, and poster design, so I'm comfortable moving between product work and more visual or brand-driven projects. The throughline is the same: understand the goal, then make it feel clear and intentional.

Are you open to internships or new opportunities?

Absolutely. I'm open to internships, design roles, and thoughtful collaborations. If you're working on something interesting, feel free to reach out — I'm always up for conversations about product design and building more thoughtful digital experiences.
